Joanne Husain
Trinidad and Tobago

Joanne is a visual artist from Trinidad and Tobago. Working in a variety of media both traditional and new, she has always had a profound love and appreciation for all spheres of the visual and performing arts. She has a background as a commercial artist along with over 10 years’ experience as an arts educator. Joanne’s artwork has been featured in a UNESCO calendar and by the Sharpie brand in one of their advertising campaigns. Her digital illustrations were exhibited at the Kitee Museum, Finland in 2013 under the auspices of Lion’s Club International. In her home country, she won first place at the inaugural Art Competition held by the Environmental Management Authority in 2014. She is also an avid photographer and nature lover, and her photos have been published in various Caribbean tourism magazines. Now working in the tourism and hospitality industry, she paints animal portraits by commission only. Art, in its various manifestations, will always be her first love and means of self-exploration and expression.
